Saturday night, after hosting a screening of the Syrian Bride as part of the Saint Louis Israel Connection's (SLIC) Israeli Movie Series, over 60 young adults converged on the Next Dor House to help support disaster relief efforts in Haiti. By getting donations from Schlafly, Magic Hat, and Miller-Coors Brewing Companies, we were able to keep our costs down. The event was dreamed up, organized, and executed in less then a day and a half and proves that Jewish young adults and their peers in St. Louis are caring and connected to the issues in our world today.
